2. Non-Legal Service Boundary
Tri-State Divorce Companion is not a law firm. It does not provide legal advice, legal representation, legal strategy, legal document preparation, mediation, financial advice, tax advice, therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, or emergency services.
We do not:
Tell clients what legal decisions to make
Prepare, complete, review, or file legal documents
Represent clients in court
Speak on behalf of clients
Interpret laws or court rules
Provide therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment
Provide financial, tax, or legal strategy advice
Clients remain responsible for their own legal decisions, documents, deadlines, court filings, appointments, financial decisions, and safety decisions.
3. No Attorney-Client or Therapist-Client Relationship
Using this website, submitting a form, booking a service, or communicating with Tri-State Divorce Companion does not create an attorney-client relationship, therapist-client relationship, counselor-client relationship, mediator-client relationship, or any other licensed professional relationship.
4. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:
Providing accurate information
Managing their own legal documents and deadlines
Consulting a licensed attorney when legal advice is needed
Consulting licensed professionals for therapy, counseling, financial, tax, or safety-related needs
Arriving on time for scheduled appointments

5. Booking and Scheduling
Appointments may be booked through our website or approved booking system. Appointment availability is not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed.
Clients are responsible for reviewing appointment details, including date, time, location, online meeting links, and any preparation instructions.
6. Payments
Paid services and support packages must be paid in accordance with the payment terms shown at the time of booking.
Payment may be collected online at the time of booking or through another approved payment method provided by Tri-State Divorce Companion.
Prices may change at any time. Price changes do not affect services that have already been booked and paid for unless otherwise stated.
7. Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
Clients may reschedule appointments according to the rescheduling policy shown at the time of booking.
Cancellations are not available through the client booking system.
For paid services and support packages, payments are non-refundable unless Tri-State Divorce Companion determines otherwise in writing.
If Tri-State Divorce Companion needs to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the client as soon as possible.
8. Support Packages
Support packages are valid for the time period stated at purchase. Unless otherwise stated, support packages are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
Unused sessions may expire after the package period ends. Package availability is subject to scheduling availability.
Support packages may not be transferred to another person without written approval from Tri-State Divorce Companion.
9. Courthouse Accompaniment
Courthouse accompaniment is a non-legal support service.
During courthouse accompaniment, Tri-State Divorce Companion may provide calm presence, organization support, navigation support, waiting-room support, and grounding support.
We do not speak for clients, represent clients, provide legal advice, prepare documents, communicate with court staff on legal matters, or interfere with court proceedings.
Clients are responsible for following all courthouse rules, security requirements, deadlines, and instructions from court personnel.
10. Emergency and Crisis Notice
Tri-State Divorce Companion does not provide emergency services, crisis intervention, therapy, counseling, domestic violence shelter placement, or mental health treatment.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services right away.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or may harm yourself or someone else, contact emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
Do not use this website, booking system, forms, email, or text messages for emergencies.
11. Website Use
You agree not to misuse this website, submit false information, attempt to access private systems, interfere with website functions, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
We may update, change, suspend, or remove website content at any time.
12. Forms and Submitted Information
When you submit forms through this website, you agree that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting a form does not guarantee services, create a professional relationship, or require Tri-State Divorce Companion to accept a client relationship.
